Buffalo man charged with 2nd-degree manslaughter in Batavia fatal | Top Story


BATAVIA — A Buffalo man who allegedly lost control of a motorcycle Friday morning, causing a fatal accident, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter.

Christopher Scinta, 27, was also charged Friday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, obstructing emergency medical services, fourth-degree criminal mischief, operator leaving scene of an accident – injury resulting in death, reckless driving, improper passing on the right, driving a motor vehicle on a sidewalk, unlicensed driver, operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a highway, operating motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, speed not reasonable and prudent, operating a motorcycle with improper plate and failure to stop at a yield sign when required.
