1 man airlifted to hospital, police say
GENEVA, Ill. (WLS) — Two women were killed and two men were hurt in a multiple-vehicle crash involving a tow truck Saturday morning in west suburban Geneva.
Geneva police said the crash happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway.
A preliminary investigation indicates a 25-year-old Rockford woman in a Dodge Charger, ran a red light on Kirk Road, hitting a Hyunda Santa Fe. The impact from the crash caused the Dodge to hit a tow truck that was waiting to make left-hand turn onto Fabyan Parkway from Kirk Rd.
The Rockford woman and her passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
A 50-year-old North Aurora man who was driving the Hyundai was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove in critical condition.
The 31-year-old tow truck driver from Batavia was treated and released from Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
No charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation, police said.
