BATAVIA— In the only contested race at the local level in Genesee County, David Overhoff won a Darien town justice post, 1,085-279, over Michelle Krzemien, according to Tuesday night’s unofficial results.
The Republican Overhoff and the Democrat Krzemien were running to fill a vacancy following the retirement of Gary Graber.
County voters cast their ballots for Republican or Republican and Conservative candidates in the federal and state races. For U.S. Senator, Joe Pinion received 14,094 votes to incumbent Democrat and Working Families candidate Charles Schumer’s 6,681 and LaRouche candidate Diane Sare’s 121. Claudia Tenney leads Democrat Steven Holden in a congressional race, 14,810-5,623.
In the gubernatorial race between current Democratic and Working Families Gov. Kathy Hochul and Republican and Conservative candidate Lee Zeldin leads, 15,149-5,957. Incumbent state senator for the 57th District, George M. Borrello, led Democrat Daniel J. Brown, 14,734-5,408. In the 139th Assembly race, Stephen M. Hawley had 16,266 votes to 4,455 for Democrat Jennifer A.O. Keys.

In the city of Batavia, Councilperson-At-Large Republican and Conservative candidate Richard Richmond II and Sixth Ward Councilmember Republican and Conservative candidate Tammy Schmidt, both running unopposed, received 3,051 and 420 votes, respectively.
