Harness racing’s Changeover five-year-old The Mustang made it two for two at Gloucester Park when he led throughout on Friday night (Oct. 14).
The gelding rated 1:58.5 for 2536 metres with the last half in 55.6.
The widely travelled pacer has now won 17 races and almost $180,000 in stakes.
Tiz A Sizzler, a New Zealand bred son of Changeover, maintained his devastating form with a career-best 1:52.3 winning effort at Albion Park. He has won 12 of his 24 starts to date.
Changeover landed a winning double at Saratoga Raceway, New York recently with La Bella Vita NZ (1:53.8) and Bronze Over NZ 1:54. La Bella Vita has notched 10 wins this season.
Other recent Changeover winners have been Sudden Change NZ, who emerged successful in 1:56.4 at Batavia Downs, New York, Changearound (Addington, NZ) and the exciting trotter Bullapark Beno (Echuca).
